Resolution of the NBU Board has amended Regulations No.496 of November 12, 2003 “On Setting an Official Rate of Hryvnia to Foreign Currency and Bank Metal Rate” approved by NBU Board No.496 of November 12, 2003 which states that an official hryvnia-to-dollar rate should be calculated as an average weighted selling and buying rate at the interbank foreign exchange market of Ukraine as of the previous workday, where a potential deviation may be ±2% (the previous wording did not contain a provision on potential deviation of an official exchange rate from an interbank exchange rate).
The Resolution became effective starting on May 18, 2009.
